Motorcycle Basic Riding Skills:
M1 to M2 Training

  • Enjoy learning to operate today’s motorcycles safely!
  • You will receive 20 hours of group instruction and riding, and lots of individual coaching.
  • You will gain an overview of safe riding gear, learn basic motorcycle handling skills and defensive riding techniques.
  • You will receive a Canada Safety Council student kit.
  • You will take the riding test for your M2 licence.
  • You may qualify for potential insurance discounts.
  • The riding portion of the course will be done on motorcycles provided by Motorcycle Training Organization.
  • At MTO, you'll learn to ride from the professionals!

Ready for the next step?
M2 to M Training

  • The Class M Course is for the rider with an M2 Class Licence and some motorcycle riding experience who is ready to upgrade to their full M licence.
  • Our curriculum is Ontario Ministry of Transportation approved, and our Ontario Ministry of Transportation certified instructors will work with you to further develop your on road skills, your awareness and your safety.
  • The course is 12 hours that includes your Class M road test.
  • You need to bring a motorcycle and wear your proper safety gear.
  • Course runs rain or shine.
  • At MTO, you’ll learn advance riding skills from the professionals!

Try our Three Hour Introduction

We also offer a “mini” introduction to motorcycling course. It is only 3 hours long and does not require an M1 licence. While it does not teach all the basic skills of riding, it will allow those who have always wondered if motorcycling is something they would like to try. A great opportunity to satisfy her/his curiosity.
